Monkey Squad One #10. Pages 17 & 18.

Dr. Metropolis' chest tattoo is a wholly inaccurate representation of the super bad-ass tattoo on the chest of the Real Life Joseph Metropolis. But you know, I was drawing from memory.

I totally spilled something horrible all over the original 1st panel of page 18. And that panel had been bothering me ever since I drew it. So I had to redraw it & it turned out so much better the second time around.

I haven't spilled anything on any pages since.

Real Life Connor has always been a little "girl-crazy" and Real Life Brendan is a consummate cool dude who doesn't sweat anything, let alone girls. So, it was totally fun to play with those personality traits in the comic.

My friend Peter gave me the idea for a monster ant called MONSANTO (who's corporate HQ is located here in St. Louis) and doesn't get credit for it until next issue.

Malcolm Bliss is really the name of the old Mental Health Facility here in St. Louis that I appropriated for the name of this crazy-ass dude.

As for why Malcolm Bliss thinks Dr. Metropolis is Professor Metropolis, be sure to read the upcoming Monkey Squad One Annual #2!

Monkey Squad One #10. Pages 13 & 14.

If I remember correctly, U.N.C.L.E. Doug's original dialogue in the first panel on page 13 was "You're both keeping your gross little baby wieners in your pants the whole time we're here..." 

I changed it at the last second & omitted the "little baby" part because I didn't wanna embarrass Real-Life Brendan & Connor TOO MUCH.

I'm glad I changed it.

I know that the last panel on page 14 is a little awkward without the next page immediately available but that's what you get for reading these online instead of in print!
