Monkey Squad One #6. Pages 18-20, B4WeGo & Back Cover.

HOLY SHIT!!
What an Ending!

These last few pages of this issue are particularly special to me, so I'll get right to it!

General Starr is played by my dad, Doug Michel (I'm a junior). He appeared in issue 5 for a second, but this was his big scene and it was cool to put my dad in the comic again. He's a great guy and kind of obsessed with The Wheel Of Time.

The Arch-Cannon is one of my favorite things in Monkey Squad One!
Putting a giant gun on the Arch was the plan since Issue #4 when the boys burst out of U.N.C.L.E. HQ. It was nice to see those plans come to fruition.

"Zombie Night" ends up being called "Bloody Night, Bloody Knife" but we'll talk more about that later.

The Prologue.
I'll spell it out for you in case you don't really get it...

MegaGranMonster, who was launched into space a few pages ago, goes through a wormhole and ends up headed toward what we refer to as Fake-Future Earth (Monkey Squad One went to Fake-Future Earth in Issue #2 where they battled evil, older versions of  themselves).
So, anyway, we see Fake-Future Brendan & Connor "discover" MegaGranMonster in 2025. Four years before they fight Monkey Squad One on Fake-Future Earth.

Crazy. I know.

And that scene also includes the first mention of Professor Metropolis. Current readers have heard that name since.

My Uncle Mike was my dad's youngest brother. He was my favorite uncle growing up. He was a goofball and a bum and a drug addict and he died when I was 16 from a cocaine overdose.
I'm not gonna trivialize our relationship with some anecdote for you guys.
I'll just say that this comic is a very personal thing for me. If uncles and nephews were gonna be a theme then I felt like I should include Mike.

So, that's the "first season" of Monkey Squad One.
It mighta been a little rough at first but we had a good time, right?
